Company Acquisition/Merger/Investment – A US-based FMC-licensed OTI with FCL focus

We are retained by our client, a Canadian-based, well-established ocean freight focused freight forwarder with strong financials. 

They are seeking to acquire a freight forwarding company with strength in ocean exports in the USA.

Our Client: 

This company has a reputation for excellence at all levels and highly ethical management. 
Well-respected for their customer focused business philosophy,
they are seeking the right fit as they implement their strategic growth plan for the future in North America.

With decades of experience, plus strong relationships with the ocean carriers, they are seeking to complement their proven strengths.

Prospective companies will likely be in the top-line revenues range of between about $8-$10M up to $120M (+) USD.
Preferred Locations: 
NY, NJ, MA, PA, MD, WA, OR, CA, IL, IN, MN, WI, ND, SD, OH and MI 

They are open to a company having multiple locations.

The company’s management culture and business philosophy is open-door, collaborative, positive and collegial.

They are open to management staying on for an extended period of time, post acquisition, and specific arrangements are open to discussion.

Ideal Scenario:

1st. FCL – Ocean Export focused
 freight forwarding Operations that are well-established with a significant volume in ocean export containers shipped, annually

2nd. Transloading facility/Cross-dock operations with sufficient floor space to handle 40-50 loads at any one time; about 30,000 sq. ft., up to 200,000 sq. ft. 
These capabilities are not essential to have but would certainly be of interest.
